Good morning! Oscar here again, well I got the Wales v Portugal prediction wrong last night. Oh well, we move on but I was convinced Wales’ luck may just keep going, but I suppose Portugal were due a win eventually inside 90 minutes. Wales just didn’t look the same team though and maybe they had just ran out of steam.
On to tonight, wow what a game this could be! The press and media have already started mentioning it could be as good as their World Cup semi-final at Spain ’82. What a game that was! However, I’m not so sure it will be. I think it’ll be quite cagey to be honest and I have heard a lot of pundits on TV last night and radio this morning predicting a draw in 90 minutes.
France are top goalscorers in the tournament and with their front three I can see them scoring tonight, even more so with Mats Hummels suspended for Germany. Who also have Sami Khedira and Mario Gomez out injury. For that reason Joachim Low has confirmed Bastian Schweinsteiger is fit and will captain Germany tonight. Can he play another 90 minutes plus though after coming on in the quarter final in just the 16th minute? He is very important as a presence to the Germans, but he’s going to be up against one of the best midfielders around in Paul Pogba. It could be a tough ask.
France on the other hand have no suspensions or injuries currently as they go into the game tonight. You can never write off the Germans but with a few players missing and the French seemingly scoring for fun here is my prediction for tonight. Enjoy the game!!
France v Germany kicks off at 8pm (UK Time) from The Stade Vélodrome stadium in Marseille.
