Hello and good morning. How are you all doing on this wet and windy morning? Well, it is where I am. My Saturday morning coaching session was even cancelled due to the pitch being flooded. I didn’t think it was that bad myself but oh well, back home and ready for an afternoon of football. First Last week and some even more tricky predictions last week as it turns out. I had a very poor week with just the one correct score line and two points.
I see last-minute goals came back to haunt me once again, in my week 14 predictions I thought Manchester City would struggle against Middlesbrough, I was right and nearly went for the draw. In the end I went for 1-0 to City as I thought they’d still get the win, but in injury time the Teesside team nicked a headed equaliser to grab an away draw. The biggest surprise of the day of course though, was Sunderland winning away at Bournemouth, who have a good home record. Sunderland even got their win whilst down to ten men after Pienaar was sent off for a second yellow card with thirty minutes still to play.
As for last weeks two championship games that made it onto the Super 6 predictions, well I had a bit of a mare and wasn’t even close with one of the predictions. The other nearly came off but Huddersfield just couldn’t find the winner against the battling Birmingham City Side.
On to this week and with no Premier League or Championship fixtures due to International World Cup 2018 Qualifies this weekend and the next few days. It’s down for us to predict results from both Division 1 and Division 2 this afternoon. Don’t get me wrong, I keep a close eye on both these division and in particular certain teams to see how they keep doing. However, if you thought the Championship was difficult to see which was a result may go then trust these two divisions are even harder. Top of the league could easily be beaten by bottom of the league and a team with four or five straight wins could easily slip up against a team which has hasn’t won or scored in three games.
Anyway, here are predictions for this week. Enjoy your Saturday football.
