Good morning once again, yep it’s Saturday already. How quick has that gone? Here we are though and here we are ready to do our Soccer Saturday Super 6 predictions game for another week. I actually planned to do these predictions last night so I wasn’t rushing on here this morning, but here I am, rushing!
I’ve already been out and about this morning, another football coach and I took our lads and their two football teams from my local club to play some friendlies against some other teams. It was certainly an early start, leaving here at 8.15am ready for the games between 9am and 10am on some old style astro turf pitches. We had to get something booked though, and a good job too, the temperature had dropped dramatically over night and it’s fair to say the kids did well to play in those conditions this morning. The enjoyed themselves and won a few games, the most important think as it turns out was keeping them constantly moving and on their toes so they didn’t get cold. Anyway, enough of my ramblings once again. it’s my Soccer Saturday Super 6 prediction time.
First up, last week scores – WOW! I can safely say I didn’t see three of those score lines coming, let alone the actual results. I’m sure you lot can’t either? With both Stoke and Sunderland’s recent up turn in fortunes and Swansea’s continued poor performances I just didn’t see Hull or Bournemouth getting a single point away from home at the Stadium of Light or the Britannia Stadium respectively. Let alone Everton slipping up and not getting a home win. How wrong was I?
Watford vs Leicester was a tricky one and could have gone either way to be fair. City was always going to be an away win against a very poor current Palace team, so it was just about get the score line right? Who’d have thought Yaya would be on the score-sheet as well, let alone twice. I did honestly think Liverpool would slip up away to Southampton after their recent good form so went with a score draw. Oh well, just the four points last week.
Onto this week then I’m going with an away win for The Baggies, so Hull 0 – West Brom 2. I can see the same score line but for the home team at Anfield, Liverpool 2 – 0 Sunderland. The Swans’s confidence should be up but surely The Eagles are due a result, Swansea 1 – Crystal Palace 1. Last season’s Premier League winners need to finally kick-start their league season, so Leicester City 3 – 1 Middlesbrough. Onto The Championship and you have to go with a home win for The Toon Army don’t you? Therefore Newcastle 3 – Blackburn 0. There will definitely be goals in the final game but I’m going to go for an away win, I just have that feeling, Brighton 1 – Fulham 2.
Enjoy your Saturday football this afternoon everyone.
