It’s a sad week for twofootedtackle.com as our podcast has become homeless. For the last couple of years, my employer has very kindly allowed us to record in their studio, but the time has come for me to move on and spread my day job wings. So, this is the last studio-recorded show and also the last show of 2010 - we’re taking the rest of the year off to find the best solution to our predicament, but we’ll be back in January.
Before that, Episode 73, and a debut for Sian Ranscombe of From A Girl Who Loves The Gunners. Along with pod returnees Ollie Irish (Who Ate All The Pies?) and Lee Harvey, Sian talks to Chris and Gary about the Premier League, MLS, the Champions League, Cardiff City, the transfer window and a few other bits and bobs.

Is the intent to create a podcast that sounds exactly like the Guardian football weekly? There’s a woman introducing, the main guy sounds like and has the same mannerisms as James Richardson — just throw in a “woof” occasionally and it’ll be a great imitation. Chris Nee even sounds like Barry Glendenning.
Is that intentional?

Yes. We even have the same script, but change the word order. If you play the podcast backwards, you get Football Weekly. Or sometimes a recipe for lentil soup.
