TFT EP 009: why foreign players aren't damaging the England team

Back once again with the ill behaviour, the TFT Podcast is here. In this episode, Gary and Chris are joined by a frequent guest from the old times, journalist Christopher White, who recently summarised a report from the Adam Smith Institute for When Saturday Comes. The amount of minutes played by English players in the Premier League, says the research, does not impact the fortunes of the national team.

Of course, nobody on the FA Commission bothered with such trifling concepts as scientifically researched evidence, choosing to act this week to limit the opportunities for mediocre foreign players. Oh, and they snuck in a couple of sweeteners for the big clubs as well.

For interested listeners, Chris Nee has also had his say in writing.

In this episode we discuss all that, along with football copyright matters with Daniel Geey, and offer an introduction to Polish football courtesy of EKSTRAKLASAreview man Ryan Hubbard.
