The Heart of Football

I'm a football blogger who works in social media and likes shiny things. This means that I like my blog to be recognised, I like it when people do cool and innovative things with social media and I like it when stuff is just downright awesome.

So well done to my friends at ITV and their friends at Sony, who've combined to create The Heart of England Football, which is the amazing beast in the photograph above (which I stole with my very own hands).

The heart itself was created by Fallon and is a fully-functioning heart (as in it moves about, clearly it doesn't pump blood around itself) made out of Sony components. After viewing all the videos on the website I can promise you that it's strangely hypnotic to watch.

Anyway, that's just a big gadget. The really cool part is that ITV and Sony are also representing the Heart in the form of a tool which pulls the posts from selected blogs - including this one - into a heart interior decorated with a mixture of red blood cells and ghostly mirages of Wembley.

Visitors can click through to those posts and leave their comments, but I think the best way to explain the whole shebang is simply to tell you to have a look. Is cool, no?
