Player of the Year 08/09: Nominations

The players got their decision wrong by handing Ryan Giggs the PFA Player of the Year Award, but the football writers were closer to the mark in voting Steven Gerrard their Player of the Year.
But out here in the blogosphere there are dissenting voices, so I've decided to chuck my hat into the ring and run a quick and dirty poll to crown the twofootedtackle Player of the Year 08/09.
But first, I need nominations. I've had a few already on Twitter and will be welcoming more for the next few days. I hope to announce the top ten on next week's podcast and then kick off the poll, which will be open to all. That's right, the fans get a vote!
So get your nominations into me - in the comments, on Twitter or our Facebook page - and we'll show the football authorities what for.
Also, I don't often ask you to pimp out my sh*t, but if you could spread the word - just a little - it'll make this award all the more worthwhile. Cheers.

Oh! Interesting contest. Steven Gerrard is surely due for an award. He is a great mid-fielder and captain for Liverpool. By the way, do you know that you can keep track of all the events happening around you on www.trackle.com
