Wider Reading: mCalcio

Marco Pantanella is prolific.

I’ve seen his name knocking around for ages, and recently I found his blog.

Unsurprisingly, it is updated with alarming regularity and, despite its relative youth in football blog terms (pot kettle black, right?), it’s got a healthy back catalogue.

Pantanella set up mCalcio 13 months ago.

Judging by the number, variety and sheer size of posts, he’s never looked back.

He’s got a superb knowledge of European football - he was born in Germany, to Italian parents. He also lived in France before jetting off to Canada. But it’s Marco’s football experience (not professional, like, but still good) and dedication to following the game which makes mCalcio a worthwhile read.

mCalcio also does things in a way which addresses fans with a certain level of knowledge, but does not assume this of everyone. Marco includes YouTube and Wikipedia links all over the shop, and is very transparent about ads, what he reads and about focusing on Serie A.

If he makes a few quid off advertising, more power to his elbow. Nice work, Marco.
