Football Bloggers network

Forgive the self-indulgence, but I have more readers here than blogging contacts elsewhere, so I'm going to allow myself a little free advertising - for a non-profit venture, you understand.

Here's the deal: Gary Andrews and I have spoken once or twice over a nice cold beer about trying to instigate some kind of community for football bloggers. We've got a lot in common, you know. We all care enough about the game enough to dedicate our time - mostly for free - to writing about it.

We wanted a resource which allowed bloggers to a) share, b) meet and c) drink. That's it.

But Gary and I are both social media types, so we didn't want to lay it on too thick. We spoke about a wiki and an agenda-free meet-up. But I took the plunge and set up a network using Ning.com and it seems to have gone down well.

So if you're a football blogger, football Twitter person or whatever, come by and say hello. There's no rules or leaders, it's just a focal point. Enjoy.
