Coming home from Cardiff yesterday I was very bored on the train. With nothing else to do I decided I'd have a quick catch-up with myself and jot down my dream team. You can see it below - you can tell I watch mostly Premier League and Serie A.
Anyway, I'm not really sure football bloggers go in for the whole meme thing, but just in case they do, I've tagged a bunch of them down at the bottom. Pass it on folks. Even if you're not tagged, post your World XI and link back to me so I can read it. I'm kinda fascinated by how different people view the game in their own way.
So, the twofootedtackle version:

That's the starting eleven. I've got reasons in my head to justify them all. Just ask if you disagree with any of them. Football's all about debate. Now for the substitutes:

I would include Kun Aguero and Diego somewhere. And although he has been injured Fernando Torres is world class.

I agree Torres is world class, but I'd rather have Villa any day.
Aguero's a very good shout but I must admit I haven't seen enough of Diego to make a judgement.
What would your eleven be?
Rafael makes the bench.. WOW. Big ups for the 19 year old...
What about Samuel Eto'o? He is always overlooked for some reason and WORLD class...
in my 11 for sure.

I would agree with your eleven except I would switch Cambiasso with Danielle De Rossi. I think his ability to shoot from long range would add a bit. I would also put Lahm in instead of Evra. I think Evra is very good, but he might look better because of the talent of the defenders around him. But I completely agree with Pato, when the next world cup comes around he will be the big name for Brazil, much like Ronaldo in 98.
I like your squad but i would make to changes. First I would put De Rossi at defensive mid, simply because he is tremendous at taking long range efforts. Also, I would put Lahm at left back. I think Evra might not look as good on a team that isn't so strong defensivly, he's still very good though.
De Rossi is a blinding shout. Superb player.
Hamsik might be a surprise inclusion, but I think he is better than Lavezzi who gets the most press. It's only a matter of time before he is playing for a huge club, Chelsea wouldn't surprise me.

You guys are homers. Who is everyone's pick to manage this team, Martin O'neill probably, but I have to go with David Moyes, without him Everton is in the bottom half.
It'd have to be someone with the ability to work well with superstars. I think Moyes trumps O'Neill on that one, but I think I'd go with someone like Mourinho.

Keeper? Iker Casillas, spectacular and reliable at the same time.
Defence? Right back has to be Sergio Ramos unbelievable raw pace strength and desire, Nemanja Vidic for sheer muscle and Ricardo Carvalho to organize Vidic and provide cover, making crucial interceptions, left back? Surprisingly I'd go with Gael Clichy, he does an outstanding job for Arsenal and is, I believe, an unsung hero!
Midfield is harder, so much talent in that area, I'm playing a 4-4-2 and have an admiration for the spanish ethic in possession so - Left mid - Iniesta, a genius in a class of his own, the complete attacking midfielder in my opinion, picking devastating passes and an incredible work rate are his main attributes, then Xavi, the captain, keeping up the Barca partnership, then Essien in a more defensive midfield role, that boy is sensational, and Essien pushes Fabregas (can't believe I'm the first to mention him!) to the right with his range of passing and clever off the ball runs.
Then up front isn't even a challenge David Villa is the predator deep into enemy territory and Lionel Messi can wander around wherever he pleases, exploiting space and defensive weakness like only he can!
