twofootedtackle podcast six preview

Friday, 24 April 2009

This week has and still could be full of shocks: Roy Keane walks back into management, Burton could well and truly bottle it, Steve McClaren doing rather well as a manager, the list goes on. But none are more shocking that me having the podcast preview written by the end of play on Friday. And from a small village in Devon, no less, where broadband is generally known as slang for fat musicians.

But onto the pod. We'll be joined this week by the ever-entertaining Tom Phillips from The Metro's Ridiculant column, who will no doubt find amusing pictures of cats playing football to complement his blog and ours.

Discussion wise, we'll be keeping our attentions firmly on the Championship when we speculate if the aforementioned Mr Keane filed for divorce from his beard before he moved to Ipswich, the Saints points penalty, Nottingham Forest and all that jazz.

Comedy Dutch accents will abound as we take a quick gander at the Eredivise, plus there'll be the Premier League, MLS and much much more, including an update on your favourite footballing pie.

And I've not mentioned this to Mr twofootedtackle yet, but if Exeter secure promotion this weekend (which requires a win at home to Morecambe and Bury to lose to Gillingham) then I suspect there may just be a small amount of chatter about the Grecians.

Assuming I recover from my hangover in time, that is...

And while you're impatiently tapping your toes as you wait for Wednesday to arrive, why not become a fan of the podcast on Facebook?
