Prediction League - Results & Predictions 18/08/09

This weekend saw the launch of our very own Prediction League here on twofootedtackle, which will see myself, Chris and Gary going head to head for a prize not even Manchester City’s millions can buy, champion of the twofootedtackle Prediction League.

Here is how we fared in Week 1.

Results

Aston Villa 0-2 Wigan Athletic
We all predicted Villa, and sadly we were all wrong.

Blackburn Rovers 0- 2 Manchester City
No correct predictions here either.

Bolton Wanderers 0-1 Sunderland
Ian predicted that the Black Cats would be victorous, and they were.

Chelsea 2-1 Hull City
We were all correct in picking Chelsea to win.

Everton 1-6 Arsenal
Chris was the only one to succesfully predict an Arsenal win.

Portsmouth 0-1 Fulham
It was a unamamous decision here on a Fulham win, and we were correct. I can't see us predicting many Portsmouth wins this season somehow.

Stoke City 2-0 Burnley
Chris got the point here, with Gary and myself thinking Burnley could snatch something from the game unfortunately like us they ended up empty handed.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-2 West Ham United
The Hammers got all 3 points, and in doing so they earned Gary 1 point.

Manchester United 1-0 Dirty Small Heath
1 point each, with all of us envisaging a Manchester United win.

Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Liverpool
Chris and Gary predicted a Spurs win, and they were right to predict it.

So as it stands, Chris tops the table on 6 points, coming second is Gary on 5 points, and last but not least is myself on 4 points.
