It's Wednesday, the football is back and that can only mean one thing: it's time for The twofootedtackle Football Podcast!

For Episode 14, Gary Andrews and myself were joined once again by Chris Oakley of Some People Are On The Pitch. With Chris involved, it would've been rude for us to not look forward to the French season which began last weekend.

We previewed the Premier League and looked back on the first weekend of the Football League season before heading abroad to Ligue 1, Major League Soccer and the delayed start to Argentina's 2009 Apertura championship.

And finally, we asked whether we'd succeed in management after Simon Kuper came to some strange conclusions in the writing of his new book.
