Prediction League - Results & Predictions 21/08/09

Two weeks in, and already there's been a couple of shocks in the Premier League which we have failed to predict. Looks like we should throw out the crystal ball and let our instincts guide us as we continue to predict the outcomes of this weekends ties - badly.

Here's how the mid-week went for us:

Results

Sunderland 1-3 Chelsea
Chelsea continue to grind out a result after a shaky start, no surprises we all had Chelsea to win.

Wigan 0-1 Wolves
Wigan followed up beating Villa by losing to promoted Wolves. None of us predicted this one sadly.

Birmingham 1-0 Portsmouth
Two games in an Pompey look doomed. Gary got this result right, with myself and Chris predicting otherwise.

Burnley 1-0 Manchester United
The less said about this the better. Manchester United got burned, and so did we.

Hull 1-5 Tottenham
No real shocks here, despite Gary thinking otherwise. Points to me and Chris.

Liverpool 4-0 Stoke
What better way to forget the weekend, than by winning 4-0. It may have been Stoke, but a win's a win. The points go to myself and Chris, with Gary thinking Stoke might have nicked a draw, but they didn't.

After two games Chris still remains top of the league on 9 points, with myself and Gary tying second on 7 points.
